avahi: for plug-n-play (such as Bonjour service). This daemon periodically send multicast message which is very annoying for whom work on network researches.
cups: printer related daemon
cron: periodic job launcher
atd: schedule a job (At-daemon)
rsync: remote file synchronization (very good for automatic backup, combine with cron)
